PlayStation Portable.
The PSP was the first hand-held gaming console to use an optical disc format to store and play media. It was the first non-Nintendo hand-held gaming console; it was deemed the “Walkman of the 21st Century” because of its high multimedia capabilities. The features that stood out the most were the large viewing screen, robust multimedia capabilities and being able to connect with PS2, PS2, and other PSPs and get on the Internet with Wi-Fi. The PSP is available in lots of different colors and also has special editions that game out for certain games, such as the “God of War” which had the main character Kratos on the back; this model was red. Also they had a Star Wars Battlefront edition with Darth Vader on the back; this version was white. There are also different models of the PSP. There is the PSP 2000 series, which improved on the RAM and TV output and also the decreased game loading time. It was also lighter and slimmer. The newest version is the 3000 series; this version was released in October of 2008. It has the same features as the 2000 and more. Sony improved the LCD screen out in a microphone for if you use Skype phone service, and improved on the TV capabilities. Sony has not released or hinted at any other game console yet. |
